Every letter, parcel and package deserves a clear route.

By requesting or confirming a service, you agree to these terms and the shipment-specific written confirmation. You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate sender, recipient, contents, value, weight, dimensions and contact information.

Service role

Depending on the booking, HRX may coordinate a shipment through independent service providers. The confirmed booking will identify the service arrangement. Independent providers may apply additional lawful carriage terms.

Rates and payment

Published prices are introductory base rates, not binding offers. Final charges may include weight, dimensions, distance, urgency, handling, fuel, duties, taxes, customs, storage or return costs. Charges and accepted payment methods are confirmed before dispatch.

Timing

Delivery estimates are not guarantees unless expressly agreed in writing. Weather, security, road or airport conditions, customs, inspections, inaccurate addresses and recipient unavailability may cause delay.

Customer responsibility

You are responsible for lawful contents, adequate packaging, accurate declarations, required permits and reasonable access at pickup and delivery. HRX may refuse, inspect where lawful, hold, return or surrender a shipment when required for safety or legal compliance.

Liability

Liability, declared-value protection and insurance depend on the confirmed service and applicable law. Do not send irreplaceable originals or high-value items unless HRX accepts them in writing and appropriate coverage is confirmed. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed primarily by applicable Ethiopian law, together with mandatory laws of transit and destination countries. Please contact HRX first so a complaint can be reviewed. Courts or regulators with mandatory jurisdiction retain their authority.

HRX may collect names, phone numbers, email addresses, pickup and delivery details, shipment descriptions, communications, proof of delivery and transaction records. We use this information to answer inquiries, prepare quotes, coordinate providers, deliver updates, prevent fraud, handle claims and meet legal obligations.

Sharing and retention

Information may be shared only as reasonably needed with recipients, contracted providers, payment or communications providers, customs, regulators and law-enforcement authorities acting lawfully. We retain information only as long as needed for service, claims, accounting, security and legal requirements.

Your choices

You may ask to access, correct or delete eligible personal information by emailing info@hornroutex.com. Some records must be retained by law. WhatsApp and other third-party services process information under their own policies. Do not submit passport numbers, financial credentials or highly sensitive documents through the website form; ask for an approved secure method.

HRX intends to process personal data in accordance with Ethiopia’s Personal Data Protection Proclamation No. 1321/2024 and other applicable laws.

Pickup, destination, recipient availability, package condition and estimated delivery time are confirmed for each booking. The sender must package items to withstand normal handling and disclose fragile, perishable, temperature-sensitive or unusually valuable contents before acceptance.

Delivery attempts

The recipient may need identification, a code or signature. If delivery cannot be completed, redelivery, storage or return charges may apply after notice. Risk and responsibility are determined by the confirmed booking and applicable Ethiopian law.

Current service area

HRX currently accepts shipment requests only within Ethiopia. Neighboring-country services may be introduced in the future after the required licences, carrier agreements, customs procedures and operating approvals are completed.

HRX will not knowingly accept illegal or unsafe goods. Prohibited items include explosives, firearms or ammunition without lawful authorization, illegal drugs, counterfeit goods, stolen property, hazardous chemicals, human remains, live animals, obscene or unlawful material, and cash or negotiable instruments unless expressly approved through a lawful specialist service.

Restricted items—including medicines, medical devices, food, plants, seeds, alcohol, tobacco, batteries, fuels, aerosols, perfumes, electronics, precious metals, jewelry, cultural property and controlled documents—require advance disclosure and may require permits, special packaging or refusal. Air cargo is subject to aviation dangerous-goods rules. The sender remains responsible for legality in origin, transit and destination countries.

Report loss, visible damage, delay or misdelivery promptly with the booking reference, photographs, packaging, proof of value and other requested evidence. Keep the item and packaging until the review is complete. Applicable provider or legal deadlines will be disclosed where relevant.

A cancellation before pickup may qualify for a full or partial refund, less non-refundable third-party or administrative costs disclosed before booking. After pickup, return, handling, storage, customs and completed-service charges may be deducted. Approved refunds are returned through the agreed method within a reasonable processing period.

A claim is evaluated under the confirmed booking, declared value, available insurance, provider terms and applicable law. Paying a claim may require transfer of salvage rights and signed settlement documents.

Website information may change and may contain errors. Route listings do not promise current availability. HRX may update rates, policies and coverage, but changes do not retroactively alter a confirmed booking unless required by law or agreed with the customer.

You may not misuse the website, submit false information, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with operation, impersonate another person or use HRX services for unlawful activity. The HRX name, logo and website content may not be copied or used without permission, except as allowed by law.
